Homemade hair mask for color treated hair

Every now and then we get our hairs styled with various styling objects that is by getting blow-dry, using curling or flat iron, or by getting our hair colored, which can be damaging to our hairs. There is nothing wrong in getting all these treatments done but one must understand with such treatment we need to take caution and extra care about the health of our hairs because if we don't look after our hairs they will feel lifeless, dry, brittle and thinning. In order to keep our hair healthy and nourished we need to regularly oil our hairs and apply mask to them to prevent damage and maintain its health. Given below are two hair masks that will help color treated hair to retain its moisture and feel alive.

Aloe Vera - Alternative Therapy Free Stock Photo

1) Soothing hair mask
  • 1/2 cup aloe vera gel
  • 1/2 cup avocado
  • 1/2 mayonnaise
  • 2 clove of garlic
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • shower cap
Firstly, you need to blend avocado, aloe vera gel and garlic in a blender, then take this mixture out in a small bowl. In the next step you need to mix in mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar and yogurt to the blended mixture. Once this is done your mask is ready to be used and you can apply it while gently massaging it to your scalp and applying rest of it to your entire hairs. Next take a shower cap and cover your head with shower cap for about an hour or two hours. Later, you can wash your hairs with a mild, sulphate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner. You should use this mask once a week to maintain your ph balance while nourishing it at the same time.

2) Moisturizing hair mask
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tbsp gooseberry powder
  • shower cap
Beat yogurt to get a smooth consistency then mix in peanut butter, mayonnaise and gooseberry powder to make a smooth paste. Once this is done your mask is ready to be applied to your hairs. Massage gently to your entire scalp and hairs then cover it with shower cap and leave it on for an hour. Afterwards, wash your hairs with a mild, sulphate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner. Your hairs will feel must softer and well moisturized after using this hair mask and use this mask once a week.
