Hair oil for aging hair

As we age collagen production slows down and not only effects our skin but it also effect our hairs. The thick and luscious hair turns dull and brittle due to hormone changes that comes along with age. Massaging your hairs regularly about 3 times a week can help restore its youthful look and maintain its over all health. Given below are two oils that will make your hair feel healthy and soft again.

1) Restoring hair oil
  • 2 cups mustard oil
  • 1/4 cup organic nigella seed oil
  • 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 lemon
First you need to soak fenugreek seed in water over night or for 8 hours. After 8 hours take the fenugreek seeds,lemon peel, garlic and lemon juice blend it into a paste. Take a small pot and add mustard oil to it then mix in the above mentioned paste in it. You need to cook it on low flame for 10 mins or once you see small bubbles to appear in it. Remove it from stove and place it in a jar and then mix in nigella seed oil in it. Once it comes to room temperature apply and massage it for 20 minutes on your entire head and hairs. Leave it on for 2 hours or over night and wash it with paraben and sulphate free shampoo and conditioner.

2) Strengthening hair oil
  • 2 cups edible coconut oil
  • 4 tbsp castor oil
  • 1 tsp gooseberry powder
  • 1/4 aloe vera gel
  • 1 lemon
First set up a pot with water to boil then take a steel or glass bowl that contain coconut oil, castor oil, gooseberry powder, aloe vera gel and lemon juice. Let it boil on double boiler for 10 minutes. Once it cools down to lukewarm apply and massage it on your entire head and hair turning your head upside down to promote better circulation to your scalp. Leave it on for 2 hour or over night and wash it with paraben and sulphate free shampoo and conditioner.
