How to get soft feet

Steps To Do A Pedicure At Home

The reason for getting rough, dry and calluses on our feet is not just wearing wrong kind of shoes or standing for long period at work but it is the negligence. We are all guilty of ignor
ing our feet until the skin becomes very dry or even get callus and then we start looking for solution. The best way to prevent getting rough and dry skin on feet is to take care of it on regular basis. Below are two ways to have soft feet but one is for prevention purpose that should be used on daily basis and the second one is about getting rid of callus from your feet that is if you have developed it.

1) Method for prevention of dry and rough feet
  • Small tub to soak your feet
  • Pumice stone
  • Liquid body wash of your choice
  • Towel
  • Moisturizer
  • Coconut oil
  • Aloe vera gel
In order to prepare the water to soak your feet, firstly add warm water to it that will soak your entire feet. In that warm water add liquid body wash about 2 tbsp and you can add more if you are not satisfied with the desired lather you are getting in your tub. Soak in your feet for about 20 to 25 minutes then afterwards use pumice stone to scrub out dead skin from your feet. Rinse off your feet and pat towel dry. Take 1 tbsp of moisturizer mix it with 1 tsp of coconut oil and 1 tsp of aloe vera gel combine it and apply it on your feet by gentling massaging your feet. Your can prepare this while you have soaked your feet as this will save time and will give better result because moisturizing your feet should take place right after 1 minute as soon as you have pat them dry as the moisturizer will penetrate into your skin deeper. You should do this before going to bed and wear a cotton socks to help them retain moisture.

2) Method to get rid of callus and extremely rough skin
  • Small tub to soak your feet
  • Pumice stone
  • Listerine
  • Vinegar
  • Sea salt
  • Olive oil
  • Towel
  • Moisturizer
  • Aloe vera gel
Firstly prepare the water for your feet to be soaked in by taking warm water then mix in 1/4 cup listerine and 1/4 cup vinegar. You need to soak your feet for 30 to 35 minutes and while you are waiting prepare the scrub for your feet. You need to 2 tbsp of sea salt and 1 tbsp of olive oil combine it if it appears very dry then add a little bit more of olive oil to it and also prepare the moisturizer too in an advance take 1 tbsp of moisturizer and 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel mix it well and keep it aside. Once 30 to 35 minutes have passed scrub your feet with pumice stone then rinse it off with warm water. After this step take the sea salt and olive oil scrub and scrub your feet for about 3 minutes each and then again rinse it off with warm water and pat it dry.
